Well,I guess that could be it,but I also like the 'child's playing' interpretation.mayb she was a child and she is playing an imaginary game,because she felt there was something missing(ie she hadn't discovered her calling). As she continued to grow up she finally discovered her calling but she's still searching to develop her creativity further..hence still looking for the white letter
