  • charge pack c6l pure sensia classic elite oasis mini flow evoke yeah

  • excellent review. Very professional.

  • got the black mono one on monday very happy.

  • @ZachClooney I'm very surprised Pure don't sell the AC Adaptors as a replacement part. The radio is said to be very economical on batteries, I believe I have Energizer batteries in it now. Because the Pure Elite has stereo speakers I don't know if the batteries last as long as the ONE Classic, it only has one speaker. Clearly PURE need to redesign the AC Adaptors for these units.

  • @ZachClooney I use 6 C cells in my Classic. I bought a ChargePAK C6L, (AU$99 believe it or not,) but it broke within a week. Sometimes my Classic ffeezes and the only way to reset the unit is to unplug it or remove the batteries. The plug on the end of the battery pack is very hard to remove once connected, I had to unplug the battery twice due to the radio locking up, and the second time it happened I broke the cable off the plug, so I discarded the battery, I was very upset indeed.

  • What batteries do you use? Is it the Pure ChargePAK batteries? They cost 40.00 +Postage & Packing. Pure does not inform potential customers that the AC Adaptor uses a weak cable that will snap within a few months. Is this a ploy by them to get us the spend more money on accessories? Anyway, do you find the batteries economical? I listen to a lot of Radio 4. I'd really appreciate advice from yourself or others who had similar problems. What is the economical way to listen to PURE D.A.B radio?

  • Thanks for that reply. I did try to have that AC Adaptor replaced under the warranty. I bought it at Tesco. They said that the adaptor can't be replaced separately. So, they gave me a brand new Pure One instead. Within 2 months, that cable also snapped. This time, Tesco couldn't replace it. I contacted Pure who told me that they don't sell the AC Adaptor separately. I also couldn't find a similar cable elsewhere. So, do you use the Pure ChargePak battereries? They cost 40.00 + P&P.

  • @ZachClooney Do you mean the power cable that runs from the AC Adaptor to the radio? I have the Pure ONE Classic which is the same as the Elite but with only one speaker, so I assume both radios use the same AC Adaptor, I've had my radio for nearly 11 months now and haven't had a problem with that cable, that said I usually use the radio on batteries. Why don't Pure just replace your AC Adaptor under warranty?

  • That cable 0:20 is too thin and snaps within 3 months. That happened twice to me and Pure will not replace those cables. Pathetic design fault that Pure is yet to correct. And this reviewer probably used this DAB for 2 hours and posted this review. I used it for nearly 6 months. The Pure models are let down by the super-thin and super-weak cable. It is not Pure One Elite, it is Pure Shit !!
