Freespace 2 Battlestar Galactica mod trailer

Since the source code was freely released modders have done some amazing work with the aging Freespace 2 engine. This mod, (which is hosted at http://www.game-warden.com/bsg) based on the popular tv series Battlestar Galactica, just looks awesome.

There must have been a problem with the copyrights or something. The BG franchise is pretty much active I think...

It didn't die, the team split. The good guys are now Diaspora.

Why didn't they finish this? The Demo is only 3 levels.

I bet they canned it when they found out they were giving it away to hardcore Free Space 2 Fans for no profit. HURRY UP AND FINISH IT I WANNA PLAY!

Yes, thats how SOL was able to add Water Ground and Mountains, cause its not going anywhere.

Its an arcade space shooter, not an rpg(hello there freelancer(boring)) or space economy simulation(hello x com)

The problem with freespace is that its' not going any where. Sure there's been changes but its mostly in the graphics end of things. This game needs new life, like instead of having missions make it a continious campaign where the clock never stops. Also if you could add a first person shooter aspect to it that would keep this game interesting.
