  • The more strength.. The faster stroke rate.. If you have a high stroke rate without as much power, then you'll end up with bad ratio. The harder you pull, the faster your drive.. The faster your drive, the faster your rest/catch can be.

  • @Daminko0 Actually not true. Lightweights have a higher stroke rate so they can be faster than heavyweights. but heavyweights normally have more power but there stroke is slower so it takes more power to move them as fast as they need to go where as lights are not gunna say weaker but have less to them to push it through. so to clarify both boats can be fast just depends on who has better technique and who can push through. if u have ne more questions bout rowing msg me.
