1938 Tube Stock Anniversary Trip

On Sunday 29th June 2008 The LT museum's 4-Car 1938 tube train was out on the Northern line to do 3 round trips from Morden to High Barnet commemorating the 70th anniversary of the 1938 tube stock. I was lucky enough to get a ticket for one of the runs so here is a brief video record of my trip on the 11am train

How much was the ticket and did this train go via Bank or via Charing Cross brance?

@295route The smoking carriages in the days just before they banned it were the trailer cars. Usually two per train

I remember on the '72 stock in the 70s one could smoke in the first carriage.....or was it first two carriages???

@globalcentralline Yes this 4- Car preserved unit is the same as the ones which run on the Isle of Wight. The one in this video is preserved as it looked when in service with London Transport in the 1950s

we were on that train. on the way back cause we were at the front they let us all look in the cab and we stayed in it all the way to morden

@TheLukei This was filmed on the first run and yes they did do 3 round trips, can't believe it was over two years ago now though... how time flies!
