This is a live performance of the Fasch that I gave as the winner of the 2004 University of Missouri Concerto competition.
It's a funny thing how auditions went for this competition. I felt, as a semi-nontraditional graduate student (30 years old -- and having played professionally for many years), that I should leave that competition for the younger students to gain experience. I was a winner of the WSU Concerto/Aria competition years before as an undergrad, and was happy to leave my experience at that.
One week before the auditions was the last day to sign up, and, after that day came and went, the head of the music department was very upset that there had been no brass instrumentalists sign up for the competition. The head of the brass department contacted me and asked as a favor if I'd audition.
I'd always enjoyed the Fasch, and had played it for a jury years before at WSU, but had never performed it on a recital. So I agreed to audition with one week of notice, and promptly won.
There are a few clunkers -- in the third movement especially. I feel obligated to mention that I absolutely loathe performing pieces memorized.

Too bad not very many people see this. It should have over 70,000 views.
