Fish bowls are not allowed in the netherlands, strangely they still sell them at pet stores.

@kikyouthekillermiko Beta fish are a lot different than goldfish. They need a lot more room, because they grow far larger. And their water needs to be more properly airated and filtered, which a bowl just doesn't allow. Besides, fish love to swim, and need room to do so (:

whats wrong with fish bowls O_o I had a beta fish in one for 4 years then I moved him to a larger fish tank with regular gold fish and he died the next morning... Mr. Jello Pants original name ( the name I gave him when i was 9 because I was silly then about 11 I changed his name to Mr. Jello) seemed to love his fish bowl. it wasn't tin like the one's in the pet store it was like the size u get at the bar. ;)

yes i know it was from swim bladder disease and the fin rot was from the other fish biting at his fins in the fish store. I gave him peas everyday and he is a happy big fish now :)
