This is why I love the saxophone. Everyone in my studio was required to learn a lot of Ryo Noda for extended technique practice. Whenever a saxophone would play a Noda piece in what we called General Recital Hour (where all the School of Music had to attend), no one could quite understand these pieces. But they truly are amazing!
