This has rekindled my memories of the early 70's. I bought all the paperbacks available here in Lima, Peru. I still have them. Right now I have in my desk "the secret in the sky".
Thanks for the memories this rekindled. I used to own some of the Doc Savage books back in the late '60s & early '70s (when paperbacks were a whopping fifty cents). The cover artwork still looks impressive today. I soooo wanted to be built like him . . .

But that's the thing -- his head is actually quite large. It's just that the rest of him is so damned massive that it looks small in comparison.

Doc savage has a small head for such a smart guy. They need to draw his head a bit bigger. He looks like pinhead brute.
