Riverside County, Feb. 24, 2009, 3/11, Supervisors debate Ordinance 884

At the Feb. 24, 2009 meeting of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, Ordinance 884 "regulating targeted residential protests" was debated and adopted by a 4-1 vote. Supervisors Stone, Tavaglione, Wilson, and Ashley voted in favor, Supervisor Buster dissented.

The international headquarters of the Church of Scientology are located at a compound called "Golden Era Productions", aka "Gold Base", in Gilman Hot Springs near Hemet, in Supervisor Jeff Stone's district.

can someone PLEASE tell me in simple words what the world happened on this day in 2009. What in the WORLD is the church of Scientology protesting? What is the big deal?
