It was a replacement rudder - the original was bent in a round up under spinnaker in the TransPac. We think that there was a manufacturing flaw as it started to bend after only several hours on the water, and we were unable turn it past center not long after that. Conditions where moderate (20knots, 5-7 foot seas)
