why doesnt wynton play like this any more. Everyone plays better when they are listening to Ornette. A good example is the SF jazz Collective album where they play ornette tunes

Wynton Marsalis is a National Treasure. I didn't get his genius until I saw him live. His music gets right into your whole being. Hard to explain, but it is so damn deep and light hearted too.

at 3:10 when he started playing a really slow solo over everything happening my insides almost flew out of me... so freaking crazy.

You have to know a little background information on Ornette Coleman and his style to better appreciate it. Nevertheless, there is good interaction among Wynton and the rhythm section.
