@crfranchises1 My sponsor is a great guy, I just don't appreciate my bank account being disrespected. After I spent nearly $500 going to Impact in April, he was telling me to order backordered junk to get my PV in for the month. Seriously, that was the last straw. He knew how much of a stretch it was to get me and my gf to the function and for him to tell me I need to spend another $300 on dumb stuff to get 150PV took the cake.
@paqman3d Wow, sounds like your sponsor is similar to my first. Never took the time to figure out what it is I wanted out of the business. That’s my first question for new people, what do you want? If its a few $100 a month, set up some Grand Openings, teach you how to get referrals, your best type of customer, and help you meet your goals. I remember sitting down as a new IBO, my upline setting up my first “Ditto” and asking me for my credit card. $600?! I don’t think so.
@crfranchises1 To me, too many IBOs (not you) just fall into LTD robot mode and don't look into doing things themselves. It seemed like I was too busy being my upline's employee rather than "owning" my own business. Cutting myself away from LTD functions for 8 months was the best thing I could have done mentally. I now have a clear direction with what I want to do without my upline clouding it all up and telling me to sell vitamins and ribbon or how i need to pawn my stuff to go to a conference
@crfranchises1 So it was vicious cycle every 3-4 months. I'd get a batch of new customers interested with product i had on hand, then I'd have stop ordering XS and promo materials to afford a conference. It was really annoying and I missed out on dozens upon dozens of customers. I even told my upline I'd rather not go if I didn't have the money and I was still talked into going. Shame on me. I'll still attend *some* LTD things, but only when my business is worth doing so again.
@crfranchises1 Oh, then my apologies. To me, I felt like it was just a waste of time and money to continue going to meetings, acting like I was doing something with the business. I was so wrapped up in getting set up on the "LTD side" of things, I barely put time into the "Amway side". Everytime I'd make headway selling and contacting with XS, I had to stop and spend $275 on a conference. And on my budget, that derailed my biz for 3-4 months, which was time for another conference lol
@paqman3d Hope you don’t think I was being sarcastic, I meant what I said about you, I'm sure if you have read some of the other comments regarding Amway, they are not so nice. My advice to you is to study Zig, Gitmore, get the book on Connecting by John Maxwell. Pick a couple products you really like and start promoting. It can be done without LTD, A truck driver went 7500 in 2 months selling X's. My team goal is 1000pv customer volume. Good Luck and Merry Christmas.
@crfranchises1 Yeah, they're all nice guys. I have nothing against them personally, I'm just taking a break from LTD overload to clear my head and do my own thing. I know how the plan works, I don't want a big group. Honestly I'd rather just sell stuff and pay for a few bills. My upline, who is approaching platinum, continuously pushed me to sponsor and spend money I didn't have. I don't need LTD to succeed with Amway.
@crfranchises1 Ah, sarcasm. I've been around the business long enough to know it can work, I'm not doubting that, I'm just not in it to go diamond. I feel like LTD puts too much pressure on useless activities that distract me from succeeding. I don't need conferences, CEP, web office, and etc. to sell some stinking XS. C'mon, get real. And Impact '10 was the worst conference I've attended in terms of content. Summit 09 was prob. the best.
@paqman3d The Diamonds in LTD are truly word class. I was invited to a leadership at Terry Taylors house and he and the rest of our leaders do want us to succeed. I am not your up line, but if you need a cross line running buddy please use me. What had me stuck was contacting, building my list. I was and still am scared to death and no one ever tells you what to say. Easy, “Could you use some more money” my email is crfranchises at gmail. I want to see everyone successful.
and it sounds like an AA meeting. wow.
