Yeah it was odd the hostility shown by Wing fans to Lemieux, not sure what it was about other than Lemieux already being a popular "bad guy" around the league and a highly skilled one. He was the classic player you loved to hate. Hated him as a Wings fan, the hit on Draper was gutless considering Draper was facing the boards and was defenseless. That being said, Lemieux was a classic NHL playoff player; gringded goals and got into an opposing team's psyche. He was part of 4 Cup winning teams

I'd sure like to know what Claudie was eating for breakfast in the '95 Playoffs, because he was having goalies for lunch! What gets me is that the Detroit fans booed him more than any of the Devils in pregame introductions, and this was before he went to the Avs and clobbered Kris Draper.
