Chris Jean produces creative for the launch of new National Geographic film brand elements. Seeking to shore up its brand identification beyond television into the theatrical space, National Geographic turns to Chris Jean and his creative team to develop a flagship element. The network launched in 2001 as a joint venture between National Geographic Television & Film (aka The Society) and Fox Cable Networks. All programs for the Channel are produced by The Society, a non-profit scientific and educational institution based in Washington, D.C. The company's world-famous yellow portraitframe, which appears on the covers of its magazines and forms the Channel's logo, was the basis of the new film element, designed by Olavo Braga. The campaign is produced by Autonomy-A2 for National Geographic.
