@saurabhbisht81 aham brahmasmi is Philosophy i.e. Vedantha.. Mythology is Puranas

@saurabhbisht81 aham Brahmasmi can be used in many contexts... you can see it as the Spiritual Oneness that vishnu exhibits and preaches as Krishna.. and then there is the form of egoism and saying i am the one.. that Brahma took when he lied to the Fire pillar about being able to find its apex which tells us about the modesty a leader must have and hence his non reverance... What Devdutt says here is that Brahma created us as he was to understand himself but this lead a faulty sense of success.

@saurabhbisht81 Indian scriptures have relevance at each level of intellect and from his perspective and application they make a perfect sense. When we look into the same scriptures from spiritual perspective Aham Brahmasmi has a different connotation. this is the great nature and plasticity of Indian scriptures ..

Success for Managers is: Time to help my own people realize who they can be, not just what they can do.

i don't get his analysis..

Brilliant! (Only point I would make is that 'Self actualization', at least in the sense Maslow used it was more in the sense of going beyond oneself.). In that Sense the lady asking the question used the correct word - self focused (for Indra) rather than self-actualization.

I Like this mostly.

@MahabharataWar : Hi! I couldn't help but point out that self-actualisation is realising and achieving your potential and purpose in life. What you are saying about "going beyond oneself" is called 'transcendence'. It is depicted as being outside Maslow's Hierarchy Of Needs, above self actualisation. Thanks! :)
