  • The band director switched to dynasty horns a while back because the past players were too loud on yamahas.

  • every single music performed by these types of universities have no music quality. Its all about playing the loudest and the baddest. I dont understand the concept of these kinds of bands.

Try to look at DCI. They have great music plus its loud and mighty

  • If you look at my favorites DCI is all over it. Its just my university allows anyone in the marching band that wants to play and that kind of outweighs the good musicians... and plus a lot of people only care about playing loud and high rather than finesse with power, which destroys the overall sound of the band. there are decent clips of us out there though

  • yer.. i understand what ur saying.. how come ur university does that? doesnt the band director do something bout it? I think overall sound quality is better..

  • sound quality is the main focus but its difficult to achieve that when all hbcu's are in competition to have the biggest band. playing a little more aggressive is kind of the style in showstyle bands any way. search for a clip entitled "BOTBB2 Highlight Reel" it represents the university much better.

  • thanks guys

  • ahhhhh!!!!!!! that was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is this music...?

  • Love it!

  • @dramaboyz2007 to generalize all "these types of bands" is wrong.... there are several schools whose musicianship shows all the time. its a completely different culture than dci. i marched dci for a year before enrolling into Bethune-Cookman i know the differences. to compare the two would not justify any generalizations for one or the other.... but if you want an example of what im talking about take a look at some BCU, FAMU or NSU full band clips.
