C'est plus qu'un film c'est un état d'esprit. La lanterne, le porte-lanterne, l'accumulation de signes, le train déjà vers nulle part et le voyageur que l'on sait perdu d'avance. Et pourtant une ardeur... des demeures, des arbres, des neiges, des oiseaux...

Wojciech J. Has to mistrz polskiego kina, może tylko Kieślowski był równie utalentowany. Znakomita muzyka, dobre role (Holoubek, T. Kondrat, Voit), genialna wizja reżysera, chociaż autonomiczna wobec Schulza. Szkoda że takie filmy już dzisiaj nie powstają...
