@Caleb1upman Well, depends on the fat PS2, mine's been operational for several years now without a problem, but some of the later models were absolute crap (5 series and later). Mine is a SCPH-39001, so it's one of the most reliable models. So, CTR doesn't have any problems if you play it on your slim? I wonder if it's because I have the Collector's Edition, it might not work as well...someone told me certain PS1 games aren't 100% operational when played on a PS2. Compatibility issues and all.
@Renulph Well I also have a old PS3 and it plays my Crash 2 game good, but my PS2 Slim when I play it, it keeps freezing up. Sadly don`t get your hopes up because Sony made it where you can`t play PS1 or PS2 games on the newer versions of PS3. Still try to play it on PS2 Slim. They`re made better and last longer than the original PS2. Or even if you know where to get your hands on a old version of PS3 try it on there.
@Caleb1upman Well, after writing my comment, I realized my PSone had "died" in storage - I had used it a few months ago, so I figured it was still okay. My PS2 might have a loose controller/memory card port, I tightened it up, but it didn't help...might need to be replaced altogether, not sure. I'm gonna try the game out on a slim PS2 next, and that'll help me troubleshoot. My PS2 only has issues with CTR, actually.
@Renulph Well that sucks. Sorry bro, all I haft to say for you is get your PS1 or PS2 fixed or buy a used PS1 or PS2 (that`s in good condition) or a new one. Is it only having problems with only this game or all of them?
I have weird problems with this game, my PSone won't run it at all (says "please insert playstation format disc") and my PS2 runs it, but with problems, the memory card frequently flakes out and can't be recognized and the game thinks I'm removing the controller during menus, post-race results and when driving around in adventure mode. Anyone know what the cause is? The game is in excellent condition.
This game is my 3rd best game ever, in my opinion.

@Renulph Never mind the only reason I had problems with Crash 2 is because I have the "SCPH 90004" model.

Cortex says 'Sony Computer Entertainment America production' at the beginning. It says Europe. My mind is full of fuck.
