I say make your own guns, rifles and any other tools that you can to defend yourselves from the enemy. Make traps at home that do not work with electricity. Why? That's the first thing they would turn off. Make your own flame throwers. You can be very creative. You are smart. think! Do this on your yard too. Everything can be a weapon if you think about it. We are no longer fighting for freedom, but the survival of the human race. It is that serious!

Larger and politically entrenched groups can take the best advantage of post-ban clandestine manufacturing to arm their own people or possibly engage in the arms business. Individuals and small groups in my opinion, lack the political clout to provide for a civil defense when their activities conflict with law enforcement. Gray market clandestine manufacture, where 90% of the weapon is still purchased parts provides a more discreet means acquisition prior to any large scale prohibition.

Regardless of what anyone may personally think of the laws, if anyone decides to either not approve of you or (more likely) sees some favor or advantage they can gain for themselves by turning you in, breaking the laws has its risks. Mass gun confiscation has rarely been done at any point in history, and when seriously enforced usually let to open rebellion, which is what the gun grabbers actually want to avoid.

@8digitPDX Those that make the laws are the ones that break them in the first place. What they write on paper applies only to the ones that believe what is written. They are the only ones that "try" to obey the thousands of laws that it is "presumed " that "they" know. Laws are the tools of mind control. They control you with those tools. You are ruled and controlled by your mind.

@8digitPDX You are right, flamethrowers is a state by state issue but booby traps are illegal. That's what they told us during my weapons training. Its because it is premeditated pain inflicted on someone.

@mercurio0000 Constructing firearms is lawful for most people, flamethrowers a touchy issue state by state, destructive devices and boobytraps usually highly illegal, which means someone making this stuff is at risk of becoming felonized as an individual and shunned from most political groups and nearly all militias from the get-go. Reliance on improvised weapons against a well equipped and determined force is virtually suicidal and has NEVER worked in history against any government.

One issue with "home built" or improvised firearms is the lack of reliability. Some designs can give good performance due to most of the components being factory made, but they will never be as reliable as regular name brand factory made guns. If you have only limited options, consider backup plans and backup weapons since these improvised guns can and do fail.

"How to protect SOME guns"?! When and if mass gun confiscation comes that will have less to do with gun rights and more to do with the official obliteration of the Republic and lawfull Constitutional government! We need a line in the sand and this is it! What else will you hold out for? Do you expect things to improve after mass gun confiscation takes place?! It is at this point we must remind the establishment why we were given the right to bear arms to begin with or admit we are all cowards!!!
