This was our debut of this dance. I really love the dance, even though many things went wrong with the performance. It was raining so hard we had to squeegee the stage right before and we were both afraid of falling down. The dj had to move the sound onto the stage, which turned out to be in the way at the climax of the song. There was an unexpected cold snap too so I left my jacket on til the last second ... and then forgot to take it off. Still, I love the moves we came up with and I hope to explore this much more and also to teach it. I love you Katie! Thank you for co-creating this dance with me.

This was shot at Sparkcon, September 18, 2011. (Yes, normally a hot time of the year!) Thank you Angela Shek for filming it.

  • Cool video, Caroleeena! Some great choreography, especially in the second half of the dance. I could see some hesitation in the first half, but I know that was because of the slick stage.

  • @CircularPraise I was so afraid of falling down. We'd both practiced in heels and ended up going barefoot to try to keep our footing! It was crazy. Two days later, it was 80 and beautiful. So weird.

  • Very awesome!! Good job ladies! Way to be creative!

  • oh my god yes.

  • I don't think I know Katie, but Caroleeena can be counted on to come up with things that require - not the "fast, fancy" moves, but timing, and 'tude! I love this.

  • @Caroleeena :Fall in the South, I know. We're going through it now - 70s one day, 40s the next.

Y'all did great, and I see a lot of potential for exploration and variation in the choreography and costuming. You're going to have a ton of fun with this one, I can tell. :)
