This happened to my copy of the game, slide the cart into the GBA, then let everything run, this bug will trigger, "A STRANGE LIGHT FILLS THE AIR," how, mysterious y'all. And once you saved your game for the first time, this bug will disappear.

NOTE:
It's nothing life-changing, but it's kind of funny that all the text got jumbled up, it's removeable like I've stated above, so it's no big deal, really. :)

  • That's not a spoof or a bug. It's telling you that what you are standing on is a save point. It's for people who don't read the instruction booklet or anything.

  • Yeah like what I've said 3 months ago...:

"No, "A strange light fills the air" is in the game, it's the very first text you'll read when you touch the FIRST save point, which is in the Narshe Cave."

  • That line isn't used anywhere in the game "A strange light fills the air"

It ma be from a sidequest, but the script FAQ at Gamefaqs lacks it.

  • No, "A strange light fills the air" is in the game, it's the very first text you'll read when you touch the FIRST save point, which is in the Narshe Cave.

  • Actually, that last 4-line thing that lingers on the screen is supposed to be the first 4 lines of the intro cutscene. Man, what a piece of crap. They ruined the translation, too.

  • You mean "A strange light fills the air?" I'm confused which one? I don't think the new translation was all that bad.. A few needed to stay, but I welcomed all changes, and it's all good. :)

  • @wiicow Shrunk the SNES version down? I highly doubt file size is an issue on GBA cartridges. The SNES version was only 3MB.

  • To tell you the thruth, I prefer the dialogues from the SNES Final Fantasy III game. I know that this remake has most of the original names and stuff, but I still prefer the FFIII changes.

  • Yeah all three are basically the same coding, with a few changes here and there.

  • it's fixed in the ps1 version. i'm guessng they just shrunk the snes version onto a gba cartige and added a few extras.

  • lolz

  • Perhaps it was usused text that they accidently left in the game? Who knows.
