Experimenting with remote Eq on the Yamaha 01V96 with TouchOSC & OSCulator. Nothing more than a palor trick right now. I wouldnt do this in the field as the gain & Frequency control is really pretty coarse. The Lo and Hi Eq "Q" move rather rapidly through Lo Shelf, Hi Shelf, LPF and HPF at the top of the fader travel. Not easy to land on anything beyond .10 Q other than HPF. Interestingly Yamaha have worked around that on the Q knob on the console. Anyway... with 4 sets of Filters per channel x whoever many channels you want to implement... PLUS full bi-directional control.. its a little beyond the scope of what TouchOSC and OSCulator are capable of doing at the moment, although the 2 Devs are working hard with updating based on user feedback. I really wish Yamaha would step up to the plate and release their own app for this kind of thing.

  • Hey Ian, How did you get the text so precise on the faders? Im trying to have a "0" on my faders. Is it just trial and error?

  • @oniondan, Lots of trail and error. I created some markers outside the fader box as a reference point, then made adjustments from there. I also calibrated my faders on the console before doing all of this.

  • @Jasems001, I never had any more sucsess than what you see. I could never get full bi-directional control if i switched channels and made an adjustment on the console, the settings would not be retained. I gave up.

  • @scaryxpuppy Did you ever figure this out? I am also trying to figure this out. I was going to make a page for EQ on my iPad template for the 01v96, but thought I was going to have to make tons of faders, but if I could figure out how to open up each set of faders with a click that would be amazing. The toggle button is key though, it would also be nice if there was a way to make toggle buttons for each channel as well, but can't figure out how to set that up in TouchOSC/Osculator.

  • where can i Download your Editor file?

  • Hi there - just wondering how on TouchOSC you use push buttons (LO, LO/MID ,HI/MID , HIGH) to bring up different sets of faders??

I am currently setting up a similar set up for my LS9 but seem to be going down the avenue of using the pages for each band.......... but i love the layout you have - is it sending a request for info from the 01V?

It would be much easier if i could toggle with a button

All help or advice greatly appreciated
