ARES I-X Launch

Rising into the Florida sky, the 327-foot rocket thunders away from the launch pad, marking the first time a new vehicle has launched from the complex since the first space shuttle launch in 1981.

I have been watching this since they first announced the plans for a new rocket and was waiting to watch this launch like a child waits for Christmas morning!!!

It's actually very graceful! Maybe it is just more special knowing how much work must have gone into it; how many years of development and testing, and this beautiful craft is the result.
