@tupsumato The Iowa class IS very big, you can Almost play a ballgame on the fantail & not worry about losing a ball in the drink.

@applesweeter, AFAIK most of them are just waiting to be scrapped - they are obsolete by today's standards anyway. The reason why they are there is probably because nothing ever happens quickly at the government level, especially when they have other stuff to do as well.

BTW, I always thought Iowa would've been somehow... bigger. It just doesn't look particulary... enormous.
