Shot on the HVX200AP 720p using a combination of timelapse and undercranking with 2fps. I appreciate your comments.

I shot this on the panasonic AG-HVX200 P2 DVCPROHD utilizing two frames per second undercrank in conjuction with 350.0 degree Syncro Scan Shutter. The effect is dramatic and makes shooting in the dark an option for anyone including news videographers who want to avoid resorting to the grainy 12 or even 18db gain as long as there is no movement.

  • Do you guys shoot on the HVX at KSLA? Pretty happy with the camera?

  • @ottoiris2 HVX200ap, yes. If I wre to buy one it would be the HPX170. I have never had any problems with P2, and it works really well with our editing system: Edius. Cam is very durable and of the dozen in inventory rarely do they end up in the shop unless the user is wreckless. Low light performance is a problem with small cams based on 3CCD chip sets. Sony's CMOS works better but I don't know how much better. Most of my shooting is at night and I compensate by using 1/30th shutter & 12dB gain

  • Well done. I don't know if you ever have to rent p2 cards for longer shoots, but P2Rents always does a good job for me.
