Its also important to eat enough calories or you will ruin your metabolism and gain the weight even faster after losing it. It's dumb to skip meals. Keep eating but have self control. Don't deprive yourself or you will lose that self control. Work out. Eat healthy. Be patient. You will lose weight. :)

if your workout consists of just doing two pop pilates videos one day, should you still have a pre&post workout snack? thanks for all the information and ideas!

Really, Cassey? Fat makes you fat? We should not have fats in our diets? Tell that to fat soluble vitamins such as vitamin A! The fact is, calories make us fat and all macronutrients- fats, proteins and carbs are stored as fat in the body when they are eaten in excess.

Just want to add to tell people that any bread you have should be whole grain, which goes along with what Cassey is saying--eg no refined carbs. If the label says "wheat", that's not good enough. It has to say "WHOLE wheat" or WHOLE grain xyz. And always have a protein, a fat, and a carb in every meal. I like to stay in the % of 30 ,20 ,50 respectively. It's definitely difficult, I won't lie. And allow yourself some "cheat" snacks sometimes, or it's guaranteed you won't stick to the diet.

Im a woman who's trying to lose some weight, and have been hearing a lot about protein shakes/whey powder post workout to replenish and ease soreness etc. But since my muscle mass is already high, im just trying to lower my fat percentage and, honestly, im female- im not sure if these are for me. Any info regarding these and women and muscle gain would be amazing!

@blogilates I can only eat four meals a day, normally my calories are all over the place (Dinner would be 500 cals, lunch would be 300, breakfast would be 300 ect) Is this alright? Normally I workout between my meals. I'll do "Pop Cardio Heart Throbber" twice after breakfast and twice after lunch.. I dont know if thats good or bad. My diet is good though and Im getting all my calories.
You said that you should eat an hour before you work out. Most days I need to work out first thing in the morning so I don't have time to eat then wait an hour, so i usually wait until after my workout to eat. What should I do? Eat something before I workout anyway??

@tcmercedes88 it's ok. it's so early and if you're not ready to eat you don't have to. just make sure you have energy. drink some water and hydrate yourself though!

Hey Cassey! I was first introduced to your videos by a friend of mine who recently lost alot of weight. She loves your videos and now so do I. I Think its great that you put this pre and post workout meal video. I'm trying to lose some pounds and my weakness is that i love pasta. Would whole wheat pasta be okay to eat? Also, you mentioned eating apples and bananas, but are eating mangoes, grapes, and oranges ok? [those are my favorite fruits :) ]

@nameless4505 100% whole wheat pasta should fill you up longer than reg. pasta. And mangoes, oranges, and grapes are all of nature's great candies - so there is nothing wrong with eating fruit just watch if you're eating too much bc then it's like inhaling sugar!

Hey, as a vegetarian of many years, I just want to throw something out there - vegetarians (non-vegans) are in no danger of not get enough protein throughout the day, UNLESS they are just unhealthy people (i.e., people that replace the meat on their burger with FRENCH FRIES lol), or are actually not eating enough at all, people with eating disorders (sadly, a larger group of people with an ED are vegetarian).
Love your videos!
