  • @nobodysperfect06 To be honest with you I don't know. Either Jeannie or Jimmy Buss. Quite frankly, I am banking on Phil Jackson staying together with Jeannie Buss. For the moment I can say that Phil Jackson is married to the Lakers, and seeing how much Phil Jackson loves to develop Young Talent, I am hoping that he will work with Mitch Kupchak in scouting and bringing in Good Young Players.

Jerry West is officially now Consultant for the Warriors. Why can't we keep him in the Laker Family?

  • yeah do you think his Son will carry on his father's legacy?

  • @nobodysperfect06 My Good Friend, the next time you want to "Chew The Fat" with me, how about if we start talking about the health of Dr. Jerry Buss. As you know, "The Good Doctor" is now 77 years old. And seeing that "The Boss" George Steinbrenner died last July at 80, we have to take under consideration what's going to happen to the Lakers after Dr. Buss has died. Who do you think is going to run the team?

Look at the Yankees now, George's Kids are just no better in building a winner!

  • @nobodysperfect06 I couldn't have said it better! Or how about those who were in between "Big Wilt" and "His Airness"? For example, Bird and Magic. In 1980 when NBA basketball was about to be an afterthought to major sports, it was the rivalry of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson that gave NBA Basketball a huge jumpstart. And after they both retired in 1992, the NBA had Michael Jordan to dominate the game until another Young Laker stepped into the NBA Limelight.

  • yeah, forgot about him too, eventhough Ty Cobb and Cy Young were before Babe Ruth, they did not have as huge, big an Impact on Baseball like Ruth did, kinda like saying Michael Jordan has a much bigger impact on Basketball than Wilt Chamberlain eventhough Wilt Chamberlain came before Michael Jordan

  • @nobodysperfect06 Outside of Ty Cobb and Cy Young, the only one that comes to mind with me is Honus Wagner(The Flying Dutchman). Remember when Bruce McNall and Wayne Gretzky purchased Honus Wagner's Rookie Card for $500,000 at an Auction 20 years ago? That's how good Honus Wagner was.

  • and there were Baseball superstars before Babe Ruth such as Cy Young and Ty Cobb

  • @orlandoldr1 And it was, until 1848 when the U.S. fought and conquered Mexico for a very good chunk of land in the now Western United States. And two years later California received Statehood. Also obtained with California in The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was Nevada, Arizona and Utah. So you're right there, Los Angeles and California was a part of Mexico. And you could also call the Phoenix Suns "Del Sol de Mexico".

Think about that the next time you want to go to Las Vegas!

  • @nobodysperfect06 If I recall, National League Baseball was born in 1869, the American League(Yankees, Red Sox, etc.) was not born until 1901. Baseball's first ever team was the Cincinnati Reds in 1869. Even though the National League wasn't formed until 1876, Major League Baseball was born in 1869. If that was not the case. Why did MLB have a 100th Anniversary in 1969? That is the reason behind me saying that Baseball was already 80 years old when the NBA was born.
