exactly there was a time when people needed to explain the world in what they believed things to be in their times, most of those beliefs are no longer applicable today.

@mlbfan3 you are wrong. well racism is an irrational hate against a specific group. hating religions on the other hand is not irrational at all because first of all it is destroying the society by supporting racism, discrimination and by limiting the people's freedom of deciding for their own life. second of all a majority of the wars in the history of the human species had a religious background the most awful warcrimes had a religious background e.g. yugoslavia, the holocaust and the crusades.

@dill99pickal I agree. I call myself an apatheist, but if there were a God, I wouldn't blame him for any of the things this guy would supposedly bitch-slap him for - religion was the scapegoat for those things, not the cause. Nothing could make me believe that those priests wouldn't rape boys if they happened to be atheists and, say, accountants instead. There are always going to be insane assholes, and getting rid of religion won't make them go away. So I say who cares about religion at all?
