  • I am much more familiar with the Black Hills Wild Horse Santuary in SD. I know it costs them $1000 per year per horse to feed (SD winters can be brutal) and care for the horses. The BLM spends over $3000 per year per horse to keep them in those miserable corrals.. The BLM sells thousands of wild horses to large horse dealers who ship them to Mexican slaughter houses. Subsidising sanctuaries could save the BLM 2/3 of their horse budget every year and give the horses a much better life.

  • my comment: compare this Sanctuary to the BLM short and long corrals; like comparing day to night; good to bad; godliness to wickedness; light to dark; like comparing knowledge to ignorance; like comparing the sanctuary to the BLM; imho

  • A wonderful video of an amazing place! I found out about RTF through my aunt, who is a regular donor. She just published her first novel, a main character of which is a Morgan named Logan, and is donating a portion of the proceeds to RTF. Please visit my channel if you'd like to see more about her and the book and thanks for this beautiful piece of work!

  • So beautiful!! Wonderful place for horses! I visited the Sanctuary this year and I guess will go next year again!!

  • @DRYKJ17 Yeah Neda definetely doesn't run a place like that.

What is pretty sad to me is that only a few people in Lompoc even know that sanctuary is there. Wouldn't you think they would know about it?
