  • @ovaisreza I agree that many people in academia tend to over complicate and obfuscate simple things. However, there is a difference between overly complicated and relevant; there is a fine line between relevant and practicality. This video does a good job of providing a practical yet technical introduction to PCA.

  • That was a very great introduction... the most comprehensible, comprehend-able lecture on PCA on the net... great work...

  • If lecturers keep their example to more discrete and not venture in to infinite realms or make it unnecessarily abstract they would be able to convey more to their students. All this m dimensionality non sense could be reduced to a more countable example. I think their is ego component to teaching, i am not sure. Its prevalent every were to make things more complicated then they actually are, i think it makes people feel better about them selves.
