The med ball lunge with twist is an ideal exercise to throw into any type of workout. Do it in a dynamic warmup, or in the main portion of your workout. When first attempting this exercise do it with a light med ball (2kg) and focus on a proper lunge and smooth rotation. The great thing about this exercise, and all lunging exercises, is that they can be done almost anywhere, require little or no equipment, and are excellent for strengthening and toning the entire leg. Gradually increase the weight of the med ball and extend the arms away from the body to make the exercise more challenging.
