Sixense' Truemotion is a magnetic tracking technology-based game controller. Truemotion utilizes ADI's floating point SHARC processor and converter technology; it is the world's first true 1 to 1, six degree of freedom game controller. This demo shows how the Truemotion controller works with popular gaming titles such as 'Spore', 'Call of Duty 4', 'Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08' and 'NBA Live 08.

  • hello there.

Can the controllers get "confused" if there are more than one magnetic field? and what if one controller is between the other and the sodasized generator? Can the motions be "customized" (for example imitating aiming how it would be done with an actual weapon), or does they need to be set up by the producer of the game itself?

  • @Dekaku sixense [dot] com has a community that might be able to answer your questions. Thanks for your comment.

  • What is that big cylindrical thing on the coffee table?

  • Hello noformstyle,

It is Sixense's 1st generation magnetic field generator. The 2nd generation device is much sleeker and is about the size of a 12 ounce soda can. Thanks for the inquiry.

Judging by your comment, I can tell that you have no idea what your talking about. Do you even know what a hard drive is? Please, use punctuation next time, and have some respect for the English language.

  • Sony has already developed the same thing using led's, but I doubt it will be as good as using a magnetic field, unless that field would be corrupted by changes in the environment. Having to recalibrate every time you fire it up, would suck.

  • @mahudaoke The device uses a magnetic field to track position and rotation. For more product detail, please visit the sixense website

  • if Nintendo or Microsoft gets its hand on the Sixense TrueMotion technology on their next consoles..... Sony PS3 is in trouble.

  • Just because they fight about games doesnt mean they're nerds.

And Nerds is a overrated offensive word, so your probally 10 years old.

  • why do nerds fight about games all the time?

  • That only proves that it is backwards compatible. That it works with games on the PC that were made before this controller was announced. Are you trying to say that this is the only video on youtube about the sixense controller?

  • it is the same thing. Read the title of the video
