"Just because millions of people think I'm wrong doesn't necessarily mean I am." A quote from Frank Zappa, another musician whose music was misunderstood by the general populace.
I wouldn't consider Tool fans musical experts as well. Most of them are absolute pricks and almost act as if they're in a cult dedicated to Tool. The whole concept of Shoegazing as likely completely alien to them anyway.

Tool is pretty gay.

they like to play loud... I bought their Loveless cd in 1991 and a few of my friends went to see them in LA somewhere...(well apparently they are notorious for being loud): 2nd half of the show was excruciating feedback and like many of the audience left... whatever... this song is spaced out though and has timeless quality...

@sonorpaiste702 I dropped tool for My Bloody Valentine for a lot of reasons. Mostly because I didn't think Maynard has anything left to say. I would happily admit that Slowdives Souvlaki rang so loud to me. I think I just needed peace in my mind after all those years, rather then drowning in Tools early persistent cynicism or a cathartic absolvent of ego on later records.

"Reporting live from ground zero where it appears a "My Bloody Valentine" concert went off flattening every building in a 3 mile radius." lol
