Wayne's Greatest Masse

I thought that this video clip would really excite some of you Trick shot Junkies. The clip was taken out of video which was taken of me in 1999 when I won the South African Trick Shot Championships in Sunny park Shopping Centre, while competing against the likes of Pierre Mans, Francois Ellis and the like. Here's the scenario. Grand stands all around a full size snooker table, three floors above me of spectators looking down. Over a thousand people were watching live. Each player was given no less than half an hour to complete their routine, or else a 100 point penalty was given. Due to the fact that my Trick shots all worked out well, I finished my routine before a half an hour was up. With no more shots to play, I had to make up a Trick shot in the spur of the moment. I decided for to opt for a massé, and one of note might I add. I boldly proclaimed to the crowd that I would curve the cue ball between two packs of reds and pot the green ball in the centre pocket. I then changed my mind and flamboyantly told the crowd that I would, in fact place the green ball not by the centre pocket (to buy some time), and placed it at the end of the table instead. The only thing is that when I placed the green ball down, I never really saw where I place it and actually placed it about 5 cm from the actual pocket. This I only realized, looking up at the green ball just before I played the shot. Enjoy watching! Regards Wayne Parker
