  • considering the sound the car makes and the lap time itself, I highly doubt that the car is stock.

Best I have managed with stock car and sports hard tires ALL aids off including the Abs is 7:31:718.

Plus you don't use heel and toe which makes it less realistic as it would be impossible to downshift like that without using it in reality.

This is one of the things that I find unrealistic in GT5 the downshifts in manual are to easy with manual gearbox.

  • @theophileification The car isn't modified. ABS is set to 1 & I'm driving on Racing Hard tyres. That's all.

  • @Burekekspert Racing Hard? oh OK, then I believe it, I don't know if it's me but I didn't see the information anywhere. That was why the car handled so well.

I drove this car like 70 laps on that track sweating my ass off to keep it on the track so it looked strange to me.

But you have more skills than me anyway.

Are you absolutely sure that the exhausts aren't modified, could be audio retranscription, but the sound is too high pitched.

  • @theophileification yes, I added some info to the video description. Now it's complete. And about the sound? Maybe the camera just records it that way since the speakers are a 5.1 system.

  • @theophileification You were right! The car is modified. I finally checked the car settings.. well, everything is updated in the video description. And I'll definetly have a go in a stock F1 =)

  • Wow, one of the best online gamers i've seen!

  • @KingMZAProductions2 Thank you! =)

  • i did a stock mclaren f1 on this track and i got 6:51 with all aids off except abs 10 abs means anti lock braking system its not automatic braking system

  • Nice setup you got there

  • @Burekekspert Thanks a lot for the informations. And good luck with the stock one, I'm looking forward to it, astonishing car, plus I believe that if you manage to tame this car with no aids on stock tires you can drive pretty much anything in this game and be good with it. And sorry for asking you to add those details but I think they are important to establish a good basis for laptime comparaisons ;)

  • The real McLaren F1 has no ABS (one of the reason for the low weight of the car). In GT5, I find by setting the brake bias/sensitivity to 3(front):1(rear) make braking a bit more manageable (and I'm using a G25 wheel with stock pedal). As to the tires: if you're after stock F1 real world performance and based around the 0.86g skid pad result of the real car, a comfort soft gives the closest match. Of course, for more enjoyment a stickier compound always help.

  • i heard some of the logitech wheels have a deadzone issue with gt5 just wondering if you have had any problems as im thinking of geting a g27 to use with gt5
