I think Ian Astbury is an incredible vocalist and his tribute to Jim is fucking amazing and if people can't see that...well then... fuck em'! Then don't watch and don't listen.

I love The Doors with Jim Morrison, I love The Cult with Ian Astbury. When I found out he is going to sing in this new formation (past time by now as he is touring with his former band) I was very excited and was not disappointed at all. I don't know whether those people who poo poo him ever seen him performing in The Cult especially in the mid-late 80s. He is a great performer himself and should not be compared to Jim Morrison although surely he resembles him slightly. I thought he did well.

@s3422722 If you know about Morrison it simply was a song he wrote that he had changed. simple as that. Called himself a Changeling.

@AlfrescoBulimia: A Changeling can also be 'A changeable, fickle person'. such as in the Jacobean Play 'The Changeling' by Thomas Middleton and William Rowley. Jim was very much into European literature and poetry.
The lyrics of the song are: You gotta see me change
See me change
Yeah, I'm leavin' town
On a midnight train
Gotta see me change
Change, change, change ...

@erazpus i agree
Hello, I'm not native user, but I love the Doors
And I have a question, I need help~
When I see the lyric of this
"I'm a changeling, see me change"
I'd checked my dictionary then I knew Changeling means ugly child
but What is "see me change's mean" ?
Is that Chang means alter? or it means make a fool of himself?
