LSU chants S-E-C (NOT L-S-U) after winning the 2007 BCS Title. SEC football teams identify with the conference they play in almost as much as the teams they play for due to the level of competition. If Ohio State had won this game, would their players be chanting, "BIG 10, BIG 10, BIG 10" over and over? Of course not.

  • No non SEC fans will ever understand it. for them, they play 2 maybe 3 good teams all year and proclaim themselves the best. We have to beat 8 of the best teams in the country just for a shot at the SEC title. Last year 11 of the top 40 defense were SEC...ELEVEN!!! we only have 12 schools. They have no idea what thats like to play that level of competition, therefore they don't believe its possible for that kind of competition to exist in the same conference.

  • They did earlier... The SEC is King we are just proving it to the country once again. So there should be no more arguments on who is better... Undoubtedly the best College football in the nation. The rest of the conferences are mind as well be high school teams.

  • @tigerbait134 No, it's not unparalleled. It's surpassed very easily.

In all NCAA sanctioned sports, the SEC schools, all 14 of them have 241 team titles.

In all NCAA sanctioned sports, the Pac 12 schools, all 12 of them have 442 team titles.

So you're barely above half way (54 %) to the Pac 12. Just three of the Pac 12 schools (USC/UCLA/Stanford) have more titles (303) than you're entire conference. LOL

  • @Duckman2052 Oh really? Look at how many titles the SEC has won in every NCAA sanctioned sport. Its unparalleled.

  • @tigerbait134 You're claiming "Best Athletics in the Nation" would imply you've won a lot of titles since that's what it's predicated on. Yet, that isn't the case.

  • The national championship this year is basically going to one giant SEC party. I go to Arkansas but after the cotton bowl im going straight to new orleans to participate in the madness.

  • @Taz20005 And all those folks who joke about Vandy all the time are in for a rude awakening if they keep on growing like they have been. Tennessee will be back, Ole Miss will be back, Kentucky will be back, and Vandy is getting better year by year. Add Mizzou and A&M and the SEC keeps getting better in an almost scary fashion.

  • @coffeyallday We've also got pretty good gymnastics, tennis, and softball. No national titles in softball yet, but Florida, Georgia, or Alabama might change that in a year or two.

  • @SageRealm sadly it looks like that perfect record the SEC has is going to end this year...to an SEC team. LSU and Alabama are going to play each other. SEC SEC SEC

  • @Duckman2052 did i say most national titles?

  • @tigerbait134 Most National Titles in ALL NCAA sanctioned sports? Not even close.
