From the Nyah 2007 festival, a selection of Sliabh Luachra polkas played by fiddle player Séamus Creagh (who hails originally from Co. Westmeath) and Rob Murphy of Cavan on flute. Séamus names the second and third polkas as "The Lonesome Polka" and "Dan Mack's" respectively.

Excellent. 5^. This looks like the same Rob Murphy I met in Saint John's Newfoundland. We played a lot of tunes together there.

Seamus says there is nothing lonesome about the Lonesome Polka but it moves me to an almost joyous sadness. So I suppose he's right!!!
