Thanks alot, I really appreciate it. i honestly didn't think my playing was that great in this vid but i cant be bothered posting another one as my es-335 is tuned to open e at the moment, but i'll get around to it ahah.
I've been very impressed with the tones coming out of GR4 and even more impressed that i can have good tone without the neighbours noticing.
Im not sure how to send you the settings as i dont know where the presets are saved to. They are very simple however-
You know, when I first heard this I figured, oh, his guitar must be better than mine, or his audio interface maybe, 'cause the Plex never sounded like that for me. I'm now kicking myself that I didn't try these settings before. Seems bloody obvious now of course...
So thanks for that; it now sounds the way I've wanted it to sound for ages :P
@theinimitabledave ahahah yeah thanks, i just eq'd it like i would a vintage marshall kind of amp i.e. bass low, mids and treble high. Putting the vol 2 to 8 is kinda like jumping the channels on a real plexi and gives you that thicker, clapton-esque tone. Anyway, hope you enjoy those settings and have a good one!
Really impressed with this - sounds fantastic. If I didn't know in advance, I'd never think this was just software. Any chance of getting the settings?
Im using the plex with the matched cabinet with some studio reverb. On the plex, vol 1 is at 8-10, vol 2 at 8, bass at 0, mids at 10, treble at 10, presence at 10. Pretty much a classic plexi eq that many people use. Studio reverb on the "medium shine" setting. On the cabinet i had -11db. Also, experiment with the output and input levels aswell as the preset volumes at the post tapedeck. Take care, and Happy New Years!!!
