they were inspired by the Stones but they took rock n roll one step further,every single 80's hair metal band like Wasp,Motley Crue,Poison,GnR etc were totally influenced by the Dolls,thats a fact.Nikki Sixx said stole Johnny's image,Steve Jones himself said he got all his moves from Johnny as well..without the Dolls,rock n roll and punk would be way much poorer.The Stones are legends as well.but never took that step further,always were doing the same thing,no evolution

actually Sable was about 15 in that picture.. She met Johnny shortly before that foto, and she was 15 (as was her comrade Lori) when she met the Dolls,I believe John was 20ish or 21 then..
