@sakura48anime The Japanese DO point with their middle fingers, though not exclusively or universally. I saw it often enough while living there, in media and in person. Younger people, or those with more exposure to Western cultures, might use the index finger more often for pointing. But in some cases, as when using chopsticks or in particularly emotional or dramatic moments, you'll see the middle finger used.
