  • This isn't a verbatim translation

  • The opening lines are word for word read from the text, but when Satan and Beelzebub start talking it is a paraphrasing done in dialogue form. However, it's main purpose is to help readers be aware of what is physically going on during that scene, so that when they read back they can pick up all the small details of Milton and be aware of what the exchange between Satan and Beelzebub is all about.

  • What's the song at the beginning?

  • My own original composition. . . Just called "Paradise Lost Theme"

  • awesome, thanks for making this!

  • this is really nicely done! i wish you could continue this.

  • I'm pretty well-read, but the allusions made in Paradise lost are so numerous and diverse that I cannot progress through the book without consulting several other materials.

  • This was really helpful =) Thanks

  • @droid4D Read more and you'll get it sooner or later..

  • @prfctday Just because "someone" made a comment about accents, can't you make your point without derogatory remarks about a whole nation? I agree that the book can be read in any accent, but it's a matter of personal taste, not brainwashing or over-inflated national pride, if somebody likes classics read in a typical theatrical voice.

  • Gotta feel sorry for Lucifer. I'd love to see him win just once.
