I think that his giving the speech is more looking at it in the long run. Reaching out to others may pay dividends in the long run. I believe that perhaps in 20 yrs, blacks will be voting in far greater numbers for Republicans, perhaps equaling the number that I understand voted for Eisenhower some 40 percent. This will be done with of course more blks competing as Republicans, & the conservative values that blks actually have.
