  • Tamura the best

  • This is fantastic, this is entertaing and briliant. I've never enjoyed a grappling bout as much as this. Tamura reminds me of BOLO ( you know that pleasant bloke from Bruce and bloodsport fame ). Sakuraba is M.M.A immortal.

  • good match

  • UWFi was worked, but not in the way as this sounds. A match in UWFi meaned that you didn't apply full force to holds and strikes, and sometimes "let things happen" even if you sometimes could defend easily against your opponent's attacks. This resulted mostly in very even fights and few stalls. In other words: the Fights were "demonstrations" of catch wrestling. And don't you get it wrong: the UWF(-i) -Fighters WERE actually good grapplers, just look at their post-UWF-Career

  • these guys are awesome. the ufc fighters look pathetic compared, i am comparing how are they evading each others hold-grips.

  • UWFi was a pro wrestling organization, not a real shootfighting organization. It's entire gimmick was real fighting, but it was in fact fake. Not to say Sakuraba and Tamura aren't incredible catch wrestlers and that this couldn't have been for the most part real. But the end was fixed.

  • This fight is very similar to Chael Sonnen vs Damien Maia!

  • @no789 You said Sakuraba said so? Where did he say this?

  • It is enteresting to see how they change position at 08:30 . First they were in Martial Arts stance en then suddenly they change to the wrestling stance for the collar-and-elbow.

    Awesome match!

  • whoa! that's some fast grappling.
