Why are you equating Americans, representing about 70% of the population who consider the ground zero mosque to be insensensitive according to polls, using their freedom of speech to express their thoughts -- to a small percentage of southern Democrats who used physical violence for racist reasons? You are not very tolerant of the First Amendment.

@ronawronker You are dead on. It seems that to thatguitarman, freedom of speech and thought only extend to people who agree with him.

@DeucePrez Please, tell me what I have said that is nonsense, I am dying to know.

@DeucePrez Sorry I don't watch fox, I think for myself. I draw my own conclusions based on logic and free thought, something you clearly do not do. So far you have resorted to blanket insults on me, without addressing a single point that I made in my original post. You need to turn that high-powered mirror onto yourself, because you clearly are not using rational thought in your day to day life.

Pat yourself on the back on that one! You've actually got me laughing!
But that's EXACTLY what we've been trying to convince you Republicons to do now for YEARS!! TURN OFF THAT D@MN FAUX NOISE AND THINK FOR YOURSELF!! Now you call yourself giving others that advice?
Now, THAT's comedy!!

@DeucePrez Excellent response! You accuse me of being addicted to mind altering drugs and being unable to compose 4 sentences related to the video that they were posted in, and yet *I* am the immature one! This is the kind of logic that that runs the liberal media, think for yourself sheep.

@DeucePrez whoosh right over your head. Can't expect libtards to keep up with basic reading comprehension

Ok. So what? No one EVER accused ALL Black people of being intelligent....or sympathetic. You CLEARLY are NEITHER!! I'll ignore your attacks against Islam, because I see them all day, every day. LIES!
Ray Charles could have seen that the video was a comparison to the intolerance of a minority race and the intolerance of a minority faith....BOTH in America!!
Intolerance. As American as apple pie and baseball.
Btw, you are an embarrassment to Black people living in America.

Your comment has no coherence to anything related to this video, Islam, Muslims, etc., etc., etc.
Which combination of drugs were you ingesting when you typed your pointless rant?
Your video is utterly ignorant.
"Mirror of the past?" Islam is not about race, as our past is - obviously you have little to no knowledge of the ideology, by making the analogy. Islam is misrepresented by merely being considered a religion; it is a totalitarian political system, Nazism is much more similar to it, than say Christianity. This video and everything influencing people that Islam is nothing to be even suspicious of, is guilty of facilitating the subjugation to theocratic fascism.

@jheilman87 I almost never comment here. I've too much work to do and too many wonderful projects to put into this world. Made an exception today to respond to your comment.
You simply missed the point of the song. (Fear will almost always be at the root of that kind of error.) I hope you give the lyric a more sober and thoughtful listen & take a moment to think before you write something as silly as: "This video... is guilty of facilitating the subjugation to theocratic fascism." Be well.

David, as usual, you just know what must be said, and how to say it. You're profound sometimes, man. Even here in "Opie country" NC, we feel your pain and turmoil. Thanks for this and so many more. Please don't stop. we need your voice.
your old bud from Charlotte, Cheryl T. love to everyone on the Hill.

@nccheryl9 Thanks so much. No I'm not gonna stop speaking reason. There are so many driven by fear and anger in this country and they're not even aware of it.
Still... from some of the ignorant and twisted comments I read, I'm beginning to question my own wisdom in writing a song that asks someone who's blind to look honestly in a mirror.
