@StOnion But remember, that is just people lying to you. Atheists see religious authority like the PhD in the lab coat that works for the company. Atheists view them as purporting to know the inner workings of things, when really, they have little to no evidence and most likely have alternative motives, considering how they choose to provide examples and personal experience rather than evidence. They're the same person to atheists. You must be a skeptic to anyone who claims to have knowledge

@eatorganic1984 However, you're taking a seriously indefensible stance if you're grouping all science as getting/demanding pure belief. You can go outside and test gravity scientifically by throwing a ball. You will have evidence against the theory if the ball flies into space. Ask your friends if they get the same results. If all of their balls fly into space, boom, you have disproved gravity. You're skeptical about corporate science like atheists are skeptical about corporate science.

@eatorganic1984 Atheists live in great fear of death? Since when? Also, I'm not talking about big pharma or corporate science, which you seem to be obsessed with, rather peer-reviewed articles and experiments yielded from Academia labs. Skepticism against corporate science is exactly right, every one of us should question what others want to put into us, be it government or company. I am with you 100% on this sentiment.

As long as one has at least a PhD, wears a white jacket, he can tell us anything - we'll follow. Honestly, show me 1 consumer / patient who controls everything that is sold to him as "scientifically tested / proven"? It's not even possible, we have to believe / trust in science. But industry pays science for the right results. It's all about power + money, atheists live in great fear of death, church is replaced by "science" so what has changed? I'm not against science I'm against manipulation.

@StOnion Science may in theory not demand belief, but does get it. I just observe people. Science is "holy" for many, esp. for those who claim to be against any form of religion. They defend their science blindly like religious fanatics defend their religion. "Don't trust yourself / your body, don't trust your child / it's body, you NEED TO HAVE e.g. all vaccines, be a good girl, do what we say, take them all. No risks, BELIEVE US".

@eatorganic1984 no. NO NO NO
FUCK
That's not how it works. Holy shit. Science doesn't demand "belief", where did you get this idea???
Religious people astound me

That woman with the 'white horse' thing is like a fucking child

All good and well. Just be aware that atheism, scepticism, science and technology are turning in some kind of "religion", too, tearing down everyone who believes in anything that doesn't fit into their view. I know atheist people whose belief in science in technology is bigger than their belief in life and in themselves. Just as sad as fanatics of any other religion.
