virus it tells you for example how to setup e-mail scanning. -
Clam AV is the worst virus scanner of all. Very low detection rates. Fails on all levels.

Thanks! Awesome video, very useful. Quick question in relation to GUFW, im running 10.10.1. On first use of the program i just enabled the firewall and denied incoming traffic, no rules added, is that all that is needed to get going to begin with? Obviously nicotine and deluge would need to be catered for also...

Can you tell me anything about the Preferences settings in the firewall? I mean, can i change the settings for certain things or should i just leave it the way it is? And, do these things help with adware/spyware or should i get something (if i need any) for that? Thanks.

@lgtspecb just a question man...the trick that you do with the IP on "windows network" applies only if you have more computers?, because I only have one PC in my connection...do I have to do the IP trick anyways?, because I didn't understand very well..I'm new using ubuntu 10.04 kernel Linux 2.6.32-29-generic.
Thanks much for your attention and your time.

@Piscess86 In this video I use clamav, simply because it's free, available in the Ubuntu repositories, has a 64-bit version and mostly because it can be set up using only the GUI, which is a requirement for all of my videos.
That said, both AVG and Avast have good, 32-bit clients for Linux. You can download them from their respective sites and pass --force-architecture to your dpkg command on 64-bit. I used to use and like AVG, but I find clamav to fulfil my needs and is well supported.
