This video touches on most all of the highlights of who -and what- made Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae such a mess:
Liberal programs fostered by democrats to bend the rules for loan application approvals for applicants that didn't deserve it. Govenrment funds (dollars from working taxpayers) paid off the loans when they defaulted, and private investors made money on the loans all the way. The Liberal program got everyone feeding at the trough, ignoring their conscience. The gov't guarantees them!

So finally there is an explanation to why Obama's campaign has been doing better than McCain's. He's accepting all this dirty money -.-

Give an example of flip flop. Did he later appose Fannie Freddie reform? Example data please.

He chose not to affiliate himself with further attempts by Hagel. If he was really in favor of the legislation why didn't he keep on supporting it? That is a flop for me. Be consistent once you make a stand. Some people might come around later. It's normal. But once you do, stay consistent.
