@alextoob1 yes, i live in a desert with coyotes and snakes and spiders and blah blah blah.
But sounds to me like you have a similar problem with cars. 2/8 dying bc you let them outside sounds like too many to me.
but if a 75% survival rate is good enough, and you live in an area with nothing higher in the food chain than mice, by all means, let them out w/o supervision.
@Gohanian2 Wow dude, you must live in a terrible area.
#of cats I have had since I was a kid: 8
#of cats killed by animals: 0
#of cats killed by cars: 2 (one of which was a 21 yr old cat who went blind, the other died on 9/11 which was the last trouble we had)
Keep your cats up to date with shots, feed them in the house during the evening and then keep them inside once you lure them in. Let them run around all day but if they don't come home some nights, don't fret. Theyll live.
Don't worry I have cats they love the outdoors they like chasing the mice, shrews and birds and they love climbing the trees. Know worries their fine outside let them enjoy the outdoors. Oh plus indoor cats live longer than outdoor cats so its a good thing for him to be indoors (less danger) because my cats keep getting attacked by the other cats.
@etipp283 do you realize how expensive an f1 savannah cat is? id keep it safe and away from the coyotes and cougars outside where i live

Hey just dropping some anecdotal evidence.
#of cats I have had: 5
#of cats that have been claimed by wild animals/cars 3
The kitty I have now is 4 yrs old and never goes outside except for on her leash.
Moral, only keep your cat indoors if you want to keep it alive.
